General
Hardware is what we call the set of bolts used to mount the trucks to the deck.
One set consists of eight bolts and nuts. Each truck consequently requires for bolts
Hardware is sold in a set of 8 bolts and 8 nuts. Hardware allows you to mount your deck to your trucks.

The size of the risers you choose for your setup will dictate which size hardware you should use.

Bolt heads
The bolts feature either a phillips or an allen head.
Usually an allen key is enclosed with allen bolts.

Special bolts heads
There are also bolt heads that have to be beaten into the deck and are screwed from the bottom of the deck. |
The nuts
The standard is 10 mm width so you need an 10 wrench.
The special thin about these nuts is that they are selflocking.
A small plastic ring prevents the nut to loosen and consequently fall off due to the vibrations during skating. |
Bolt lengths
Bolt lengths are measured in inches.
The standarts are 7/8"/ 1.0"/ 1.25"/ 1.5"/ 1.75"/ 2.0".
Usually 7/8” are used. When using riserpads that aren’t higher than 4 mm 1” bolts are used.
When riding really big wheels you need the right riserpads to maintain the distance between the board and the wheels.
That’s when you need hardware up to 1,5”.
